Carter Newell recently acted for Range River Gold Limited (ASX code: RNG) in negotiating a farmout and joint venture agreement in respect of the company's Indee Gold Project near Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Under the agreements Northwest Mining and Geological Exploration Group Co., Limited (NWME) of Xi'an, China has the opportunity to earn a 49% interest in the project. FIRB approval of the farmout to NWME, a Chinese government-owned agency, has been obtained. To conclude negotiations with NWME and its Chinese lawyers one of our partners travelled with our client to Xi'an to finalise the farmout agreement and then to Hong Kong to finalise the joint venture agreement.
