Brett Heath is a Special Counsel within the Professional Liability Insurance team.

Brett specialises in professional liability and large scale public liability and construction and engineering claims.  He has acted for Architects, Engineers, Naval Architects, Valuers, Loss Adjusters, Real Estate Agents, Property Managers, Insurance Brokers, Travel Agents, Business Brokers, Customs Agents and major construction companies in litigation in various jurisdictions and levels of court. 

Brett has prepared, attended and participated in numerous mediations and also provides advice to underwriters and insureds with respect to policy construction and interpretation. 

Brett has previously worked in house for a specialist professional liability insurer, and is a regular and sought after speaker on continuing professional development issues, particularly with respect to risk prevention for professionals. 

He is a regular contributor to industry journals and is a member of the Australian Professional Indemnity Group (Queensland Chapter) where he has facilitated and presented at monthly meetings.
