Led by partner Bronwyn Clarkson and associate Sharon O’Toole, the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage and Native Title team advises and represents owners, developers and government-owned corporations in relation to Aboriginal Cultural Heritage and Native Title issues throughout Queensland and New South Wales. 

Our range of services include:

• Native Title developments, including ILUAS, Right to Negotiate, compulsory acquisitions and community infrastructure provisions
• Negotiation and development of Aboriginal Cultural Heritage management plans
• ‘Standard’ compliance guidelines and protocols for developers’ internal quality control procedures
• Advice on the impact or extinguishment of Native Title in relation to proposed developments, projects, transactions and dealings in land and interests in land
• Mediating disputes with traditional owners both internecine and with government-owned corporations, developers, construction personnel and contractors

Members of our team have previously been contracted in private consultancies to manage indigenous relations and negotiate agreements and management plans between parties to ensure successful completion of all developments. 

We have also been instrumental in developing a series of Aboriginal Cultural Heritage and Native Title policies for government-owned corporations and developers that continue to be applied to numerous projects Australia-wide.
