Office Junior - Brisbane

Carter Newell has a great opportunity available in our Brisbane office for a 2021 school leaver looking to commence a career in the legal industry as an Office Junior. Due to progression, our current Office Junior is moving into an Administrative role within the firm.
This is a great entry level role and involves a range of administration tasks, including:
- Deliveries – internal and external including document lodgement (court filing, titles office);
- Reception relief;
- Photocopying, scanning and printing;
- Mailroom assistance;
- Monitoring/ordering paper and kitchen supplies;
- Kitchen tidiness;
- Archiving and filing assistance;
- Daily banking;
- Assistance to Office/Records Clerks and Knowledge Manager; and
- General office clerical duties
The successful candidate will be employed initially on a 12-month contract. Advancement into legal secretarial or other office administration roles may also be available at the completion of the contract. The hours for this role are 9.00 am – 5.30 pm each day.
Essential Experience and Criteria
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- A "can do" approach with a strong customer service focus;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Smart professional presentation;
- Intermediate Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel skills;
- Exhibit a mature, self-confident manner; and
- A desire to learn and grow within a supportive environment.
Candidates must be available to commence full-time as soon as possible. Remuneration will be in accordance with the Legal Services Award 2020.
