Evidence in Aviation - Brisbane

Jul 2017 |

In this evening seminar, Glenn Biggs, Partner and Shannon O'Hara, Senior Associate, will discuss the status of spoliation of evidence as an emerging issue, particularly in aviation where causation often turns on the ability to control and preserve aviation evidence after a loss. As an issue often perceived as, ‘just a problem for lawyers’, in the second of their 2017 presentation series, they explain why evidence is a combined effort involving all stakeholders.

During this session, the Carter Newell Aviation team will examine the need to preserve aviation evidence, the extent to which parties can control this evidence and the concomitant costs and chain of custody considerations which impact this process. They will also discuss how best to manage third party demands for access to evidence and the key primary and secondary sources of evidence specific to aviation.
