Admitted in 2007, Kelly is a Special Counsel working across Carter Newell’s Corporate and Energy & Resources teams.  Kelly assists clients across a broad range of industries in relation to general commercial issues including drafting, negotiating and advising both principals and contractors in respect of agreements for the procurement of a vast range of goods and services (with a particular focus on the resources sector), confidentiality agreements, infrastructure agreements, consultancy agreements and commodities sales and transportation agreements.

Kelly’s experience includes assisting clients in respect of share and asset acquisitions and disposals, advising in respect of the establishment and operation of joint ventures (particularly mining and petroleum) and advising on the interpretation, application and administration of commercial contracts.

Kelly also has experience advising in respect of the mining and petroleum regulatory regimes and land access and compensation arrangements.
