Overview

Our insurance practice is one of the largest insurance practices in Australia – with a team of 65 lawyers specialising in different aspects of insurance law and servicing clients domestically and internationally.

We help clients with claims relating to two main areas - general liability (property and injury) and professional liability. We regularly advise on industry specific claims, including construction and engineering, retail, real estate and professional services, as well as more niche areas such as aviation and life sciences.

With an insurance law practice spanning more than three decades, we have developed the expertise, commercial knowledge, and efficient processes to achieve market leading results for our insurance clients and their stakeholders.

Today, we act for some of the largest insurers and insureds in the world – helping them navigate claims, assess risk, and ultimately protect and create value for their policy holders.

If a claim cannot be settled or resolved with dispute resolution techniques, we are also experienced litigators, representing clients in all courts and jurisdictions in Australia, and at a number of international mediations and arbitrations.

Acknowledged for our specialist expertise, more than 20 of our legal professionals have been independently recognised in Best Lawyers in Australia 2024 Edition in the areas of Insurance Law, Professional Malpractice Litigation, Personal Injury Litigation and/or Product Liability Litigation.
