Carter Newell has countless reasons to celebrate as it marks a milestone 35 years in November 2024.
The team kicked off celebrations in Brisbane on Saturday 16th November, with team members from the firm’s Sydney and Melbourne offices joining the Brisbane team for a fun fiesta featuring team challenges to raise funds for the Workplace Giving Charities, dinner, dancing, and a firm favourite – karaoke.
Today, the firm is powered by a team of almost 200 professionals, including 21 partners across the three offices, supporting corporate clients predominantly in insurance, construction, energy & resources, and aviation sectors.
Carter Newell Chair of Partners Paul Hopkins is one of several ‘veteran’ team members, having joined the firm in 1990, less than a year after it began.
Reflecting on who the firm is today and where it has been, Paul said, “Central to Carter Newell’s story is its people – the culture and the legacy built over time that remains the foundation of the firm”.
“I’m proud to see the seeds we’ve sown over the years – our commitment to excellence – have flourished into who we are today and what we continue to achieve for our clients.”
Paul also thanked Carter Newell’s clients for trusting the Carter Newell team with their work.
“Of course, our success is a byproduct of the service we provide – so we deeply thank the clients and industry partners who have worked alongside us over the past 35 years.”
Founded in Brisbane, Carter Newell grew alongside its budding home city as it opened its doors on 1 November 1989.
Today, the firm advises and supports a high calibre of clientele dealing with complex matters and achieving strong commercial outcomes.
Carter Newell is also known for its contributions to industry excellence through in-depth publications, presentations, and participation in industry organisations.
