The Team & Position
We are seeking an Associate/Senior Associate with Financial Lines experience to join our team in Melbourne. This role will work closely with our Financial Lines Partner and Special Counsels.
The role will be a mix of professional indemnity and employment practices liability (EPL) claims, working for a variety of high-profile clients locally and nationally.
The financial lines claims relate to professional indemnity, directors’ and officers’, management liability, medical malpractice, and public and product liability policies.
Matters relating to employment practices liability claims would include actions pertaining to bullying, harassment, wrongful dismissal, employment agreements, disciplinary proceedings, sham contracting, defamation and general protection applications.
The role offers great progression opportunities and genuine Partner and Special Counsel access, coaching and mentoring. You can expect to be challenged with a wide variety of work.
Essential Experience and Criteria
To be considered for this role, you will have 4+ years post-admission experience in financial lines matters. Experience with employment practices liability claims will be highly regarded. You will have excellent analytical skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines. You are passionate about building strong client relationships and providing high quality service and advice.
