Construction & Engineering Breakfast Series: Seminar 1 - Brisbane

Sep 2015 |

You have signed a construction contract but is that all you need? With many recent developments in the construction industry, our team has first hand experience with respect to how these changes are effecting construction projects.

During this series of presentations, our team will explain some of the issues and key points of interest relevant to contractors, principals and consultants who work in construction and development.

Seminar 1: Love thy neighbour – dealing with neighbouring properties

Presented by Mark Kenney, Special Counsel and Karen Brown, Senior Associate

Very few urban development sites are isolated from their neighbours. This seminar will look at some of the key considerations in dealing with neighbours and how and when the arrangements need to be put in place to deal with issues such as ground anchors and crane rights. Additionally we will consider some fundamental contracting strategies to ensure both parties are aware of and can manage issues both foreseen and unforeseen on adjacent land.
