Third parties to obtain benefit of section 54 of the Insurance Contracts Act 1984 (Cth)

The New South Wales Court of Appeal has extended the benefit of section 54 of the Insurance Contracts Act 1984 (Cth) beyond insureds, to apply to third parties seeking the benefit of cover available to an insured.
