Where to for Parental Leave?
Jun 2008 |As more and more parents are choosing to remain in the workforce after the birth of their children, the Australian Federal Government has started to examine the existing statutory entitlements. So far submissions to the Productivity Commission Inquiry have caused rigorous debate and no matter what the outcome, in order to prevent valuable employees leaving the workforce, it is suggested that employers carefully consider their current parental leave entitlements offered to employees, independent of any statutory entitlements.
