Stefan is an accomplished corporate and commercial lawyer with more than 25 years of experience, including as a Partner in top tier firms. As a Consultant at Carter Newell, Stefan provides legal counsel to the firm’s corporate clients on general corporate matters, governance, securities law and compliance with listing rules.
He specialises in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (public and private), joint ventures, private equity transactions, capital raisings (including initial public offerings - IPOs) and secondary raisings for clients operating in the energy and resources, major infrastructure and industrial, food and agribusiness and entertainment industries. He is also proficient in cross-border transactions.
Stefan also has extensive experience in private equity transactions and capital raisings and can navigate the most complex of transactions. Stefan has significant in-house experience having worked as a Consultant and then employed as the General Counsel for a data centre business. He also undertook a secondment for BHP in the role of Legal Counsel, working on a development project involving all of the legal aspects of the investigation into the greenfield Wards Well project.
