Laura Horvat is a Special Counsel in Carter Newell's Construction & Engineering team.
Specialising in legal issues affecting the construction industry, Laura has acted in many litigious matters in the District and Supreme Courts throughout Australia. She has also attended to various matters heard at the Commercial and Consumer Tribunal and has acted for clients in international disputes involving the ICC International Court of Arbitration.
Laura's experience includes providing advice with respect to property damage, breach of contract, Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth) disputes and defective workmanship and design. She is regularly involved in projects which include acting for principal contractors, subcontractors, independent contractors, architects and engineers.
