About Brett

Brett specialises in professional liability, professional regulatory compliance and large scale public liability and construction and engineering claims. ​

He has acted for solicitors, barristers, architects, engineers, naval architects, valuers, loss adjusters, real estate agents, property managers, insurance brokers, travel agents, business brokers, customs agents and major construction companies in litigation in various jurisdictions and at all levels of court throughout australia. Brett has also prepared, attended and participated in numerous mediations and provides advice to underwriters and insureds with respect to policy construction and interpretation.

Brett is a 2012 graduate of the Bar Practice Course and appears in applications, trials, and appeals in the Magistrates Court, Fair Work Commission, District Court, Federal Court, Federal Circuit and Family Court, Supreme Court and the Queensland Court of Appeal. He also has experience in making applications for special leave to appeal to the High Court of Australia and in the conduct of appeals in the High Court of Australia.

In addition, Brett is a highly regarded and popular keynote speaker and presents at many industry forums and conferences on continuing professional development issues, particularly with respect to risk prevention for professionals.
