About Louise

Louise specialises in financial lines insurance law in Australia and internationally, with a focus on professional indemnity, construction and engineering, major construction project risk, property, industrial special risks, employment practices, directors’ and officers’ and IT and cyber liability.

Louise acts for a variety of clients including construction professionals, directors and officers, financial institutions, municipalities, solicitors, barristers, real estate agents, and water authorities.

Louise has extensive experience acting as defence counsel, including the conduct of complex, large scale claims and litigation, in a range of jurisdictions, in both State and Federal Courts. She regularly appears in Court and represents clients in alternative dispute resolution processes. She also acts as coverage counsel, providing advice on policy construction and interpretation to underwriters and insureds and conducting subrogated recoveries.

Having previously worked for a major global insurer, Louise has a solid understanding of insurer and insureds’ needs, providing her with the knowledge to provide timely and pragmatic advice.

Louise has been recognised in the 2019-2025 editions of Best Lawyers in Australia. In the most recent edition, she was recognised in the areas of Alternative Dispute Resolution, Insurance Law, and Litigation.
