The presentation covered the cost assessment process in Queensland with a focus on the recent and continuing developments regarding the ability for self-represented litigants (particularly solicitor litigants) to recover costs in litigation. The presentation also dealt with common traps and pitfalls that clients and practitioners should look out for prior to and during any cost assessment process.
