Michelle has acted in professional negligence actions, disciplinary proceedings, employment practices liability claims, human rights, personal injury claims, defamation, misrepresentation, breach of contract, consumer law actions, cyber claims, property damage claims, and fraud and fidelity claims.
Michelle has a special interest in employment law and has represented employees and employers before the Australian Human Rights Commission, Anti-Discrimination Commission, the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal, and the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal in respect of sexual harassment and discrimination claims, as well as actions pertaining to wrongful workplace practices including bullying, harassment, victimisation, unfair dismissal, adverse action, occupational health and safety prosecutions, breach of contract, sham contracting prosecutions and claims of underpayment of statutory entitlements before the Fair Work Commission, the Federal Circuit and Family Court Australia and the Federal Court of Australia.
Michelle provides front-end advice and drafting services to employers requiring bespoke employment contracts, independent contracting agreements, and workplace policy and procedure documents.
