About Vesna
Vesna is an experienced insurance lawyer whose career spans both private practice and in-house roles, including positions with insurers and with brokerages, where she served as a client relationship manager.
She has worked closely with a wide range of local and international insurers, underwriters and brokers on complex, large-scale claims, giving her in-depth knowledge across all facets of the industry.
Vesna’s core practice focuses on financial lines insurance, including professional indemnity, directors’ and officers’ liability, management liability, and financial and crime losses across a variety of professions and businesses. She has a particular interest in coverage advice and disputes.
Her early grounding in construction law, which has continued in her insurance practice, has afforded Vesna significant experience in construction disputes, including the provision of coverage advice on construction insurance products such as professional indemnity and contract works.
She also has a strong focus on disputes arising from the provision of financial services. To deepen her expertise in this area, Vesna completed a Graduate Diploma in Finance, and has been involved in several shareholder class actions and disputes.
She also advises on regulatory investigations, acting for a diverse range of professionals.
A committed contributor to industry knowledge, Vesna regularly delivers seminars to clients on legal and insurance issues. Her presentations focus on lessons from claims, regulatory frameworks, and key provisions of the Insurance Contracts Act and other legislation.
