Construction Front-end

Overview

In front-end construction, safeguarding your
operations is paramount.

Navigating the risks and complexities requires deep, industry-specific knowledge and experience.

Our front-end construction law team – led by Partners David Rodighiero, Mark Kenney, and Michael Elliott – has advised national and multinational organisations on some of the largest construction projects in Australia.

We provide legal service relating to major infrastructure, construction, engineering and mining projects, feasibility studies, contract negotiations, operation, maintenance, and dispute management.

We help clients safeguard their operations by conducting risk analysis of proposed contract documents, advising on risk allocation, and providing mechanisms and drafting amendments to minimise, qualify or exclude unacceptable risks.

We have extensive experience reviewing, negotiating, and advising on all manner of contracts, as well as assisting clients with the tendering, drafting and negotiation of contract terms – from purchase orders and supply agreements through to joint ventures and PPPs.

We advise on a wide variety of contracts such as drilling and blasting, onshore and offshore survey contracts, engineering support, logistics support, facilities management, operation and maintenance, consultancy agreements and alliance.

Our team is practical, commercial, and works to become a tailored extension of your organisation – getting to know your objectives, communication preferences, and required level of support.

Where required, our front-end construction team collaborates with other commercial legal services in the firm – such as planning and environment, property, and workplace health and safety – to provide holistic and seamless advice throughout the life of a project.
