10 NY resolutions for company directors

Feb 2014 |

You may have made your personal resolutions on New Years Eve for what you intend to do in 2014, but what about your commitments, as a director, to the companies you serve?

Fortunately, it is not too late! Corporate partner Tony Stumm and Special Counsel Matt Couper have identified ten things you should be doing in 2014.

We invite you to join Tony and Matt as they bring to your attention 'resolutions' which you might wish to implement during 2014. Some of the ten resolutions to be covered at the seminar include:

  • Preparing the subsidiary/asset we have been meaning to sell for the turn of the market.
  • Ensuring every director receives monthly solvency reports plus payment confirmation to the Australian Tax Office of compulsory super and PAYG for employees.
  • Why and how to appoint an alternate director.
  • Checking if the March 2014 Privacy Act changes apply.

This complimentary seminar will focus on practical issues facing directors and will be a convenient way to increase your awareness of possible challenges over 2014.

Running from 7.30am - 9.00am on Tuesday 18 February 2014, the seminar will be held at the Queensland Law Society, Level 2, 197 Ann Street, Brisbane.
