Mar 2018 |The number of pure nervous shock claims pursued against aviation operators over the last couple of years has been the highest we’ve ever seen.
In our first aviation training series of 2018, Partner Glenn Biggs and Senior Associate Shannon O'Hara will explore pure nervous shock claims in all potential forms across the aviation spectrum; from passengers and crew and their families on private or strict liability flights, to those on the ground either directly involved in, or part of the aftermath or broader experience of an aviation disaster.
The Aviation team will also look briefly into the history of laws regulating pure nervous shock claims, quantum trends for damages awards, and also consider what future changes may arise in this area for aviation operators and insurers.
