Greenhouse Gas Storage Bill
Dec 2008 |Following the release of legislation in draft form to allow industry comment earlier this year, the Queensland parliament introduced the Greenhouse Gas Storage Bill 2008 on 4 December 2008. The Bill as drafted provides a tenure framework for Carbon Capture and Storage onshore in Queensland and follows the passing, of the Offshore Petroleum Amendment (Greenhouse Gas Storage) Act 2008 (Cth) (the Commonwealth Legislation) for the regulation of CCS in Commonwealth offshore territory.
