James Plumb recognised as Leading Energy & Resources Lawyer

Carter Newell congratulates partner James Plumb who has been nominated as a Leading Energy & Resources Lawyer by Doyle's Guide 2016.

James is a specialist lawyer in the field of Energy and Resources law. He advises clients in respect of the acquisition and sale of mining and petroleum projects, project development, commodity sale agreements and other commercial arrangements, and the impact of various state-based petroleum and mining regulatory regimes.

Over the past 14 years of practice, James has been a trusted adviser to a number of major companies in the Australian oil & gas and mining industries, and has helped shape the continued development of both industries in Queensland.

James is a past-President of QUPEX Inc (the Queensland Petroleum Exploration Association), a Queensland committee member of the Australian Resources and Energy Law Association (known as AMPLA), a member of the Australian Pipelines and Gas Association and a member of the Queensland Law Society Mining and Resources Committee.

In 2008, James was selected by the Australian Gas Industry Trust to participate in a study tour of Europe.
